Bob Herbert does a nice job of addressing generational distinctions and their potential impacts upon the body social. He notes distinctions between those over 40 and younger folks with respect to job prospects, declining real incomes for men in their 30’s, health insurance and housing cost increases, personal debt and the like.

This is a generation that is in danger of being left out of the American dream — the first American generation to do less well economically than their parents. And that economic uncertainty appears to have played a big role in shaping their views of government and politics

Bob Herbert does a nice job of addressing generational distinctions and their potential impacts upon the body social. He notes distinctions between those over 40 and younger folks with respect to job prospects, declining real incomes for men in their 30’s, health insurance and housing cost increases, personal debt and the like. He expects the generated sentiments could find their way to the ballot box, though he is shy about his predictions there.
